Windows 7 does not reognize maxtor one touch III

Instal cd with maxtor programs on comp.

if you go to the Maxtor driver page for Vista drivers for this product, scroll to the last one, and it says it cnn be used for Vista AND for other OS where the original driver (on the mini drive) has been eradicated! a 256MB download = downloading at the moment and will let you know if it works! Hey guys I had the same problem... All the drivers for the device are inside the drive. Maxtor doesn't have any updates availble because you don't need any. What they've neglected to let any of us know is the power supply provided with the unit isn't powerful enough to run it. Replace the original power supply with another one and this will solve the problem. I replaced mine with an old laptops power supply, the fit was alittle tight but believe me it works.

go to my computer proeprty then uninstall usb driver and then right clik any driver then clik on scan for hardware then it searches usb and install automatically.
