The fact that you have an error of missing file whit the restore DVD indicate that the problem could be hardware. Especially if you already did a restore whit the same DVD.

I would suggest that you have a faulty memory issue (RAM), you can run a memory diagnostic whit memtest86 http://www.memtest86.com/ download the bootable cd and run it if you see RED readings your memory is defective if not let it run for a couple of loops to make sure.
I'm pretty shure you will see red results, if so take it to your local computer specialist to get it replace or order yourself some.

Means pre-installion is missing. Which means yoou either have to Reinstall a fresh copy of your windows or your can reinstall your windows by just repairing the files. Its always good to make a recovery disk after every install. If you haven't tried it already restart your pc press f8 as the scene pops up and go to Last good configuration.

Hi I have Panasonic camcorder hoc-hs700 when turn on camra after few second later message on screen hdd error occurred please turn off unit and on again I have done that several time .but not luck pl

Hello there .
Well according to a manual,
Sounds like the Hard Drive is faulty.
"ERROR OCCURRED. PLEASE TURN UNIT OFF, THEN TURN ON AGAIN." is displayed.

The unit has automatically detected an error. Restart
the unit by turning the power off and on.

The power will be turned off in about 1 minute if the
power is not turned off and on.

Repair is needed if it is repeatedly displayed even if it is restarted. Detach the power connected, contact consumer support. ( Do not attempt to repair the unit by yourself

So......why not try a FORMAT of the Hard disk drive which seems to be at fault....nothing to lose friend Worth a try !!!!

My laptop won't go on properly just has a black screen & keeps rebooting

Sounds like you have the "blue screen of death" , BSOD, problem. You need to determine the error message so it can be fixed.
Restart your computer and hit F8 several times a second until you have a black and white scree with several options. One will be "turn off restart on error" Turn that off.
Now when you get the error you can see what the message is. Post it here for more help.

My toshiba just keeps acting like it is going to reboot then it shuts off. Whe ou turn it on it keps doing the same thing, we tried a new hard drive but that didn't work either

Press the f8 key when it attempts to restart. It should go to a menu with several options. Choose the option that says, "Diasable automatic restart on system failure." and it should go to a blue screen with a message about your error. Write down the error and 'google it' on a working computer and it should give you a good idea of what is causing the problem. Good luck.

Pavilion dv7 keeps shutting down

  • This may not fix your issue but its worth a try ...let me know how it goes
  • If the computer appears to shutdown and then attempt to restart without displaying an error message, do the following to disable the automatic restart on error setting.
    1. Click Start , right-click Computer , and then select Properties .
    2. Click Advanced system settings , grant permission to continue if prompted, and then click the Advanced tab.
    3. Click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section of the Advanced tab.
    4. Deselect the Automatically restart checkbox under System failure .
    5. Click OK to close the Startup and Recovery window, click OK again to close the System Properties window, and then close the Control Panel window.
    6. Restart the PC.
Disabling the automatic restart setting allows time to view the error message that displays on the screen. Contact the manufacturer of the program or device that is causing the error for specific information about the error message.

IBM Laptop A31 2652 Garbled video even at initial boot screen

Connect an external monitor to the laptop, power up the monitor first and then bootup the laptop. The Windows image will automatically divert to the external monitor.
If the images is OK then the video card is OK.
From the description of the fault, it indicates that the fault could be a faulty video cable or video connector. Try reseating the video cable/connector on the motherboard.
Get back to me if you still have problems together with any error messages etc.
