Is there any clr cmos written on the board. The motherboards which do not have jumpers come with three point like solder on the board. You have to short first two manually with some wire.
If it is not there then you have to flush the bios with the bios flushing utility.

SOURCE: Corrupt & Locked Bios

When you flash the bios (normally from a floppy drive) it should overwrite anything that is there.
In this case you must boot from the floppy. Unfortunately, with a laptop you don't have that option.
I suggest you put the bios flashing utility that you probably downloaded with your bios update file on a flash drive. I think your laptop has the ability to boot from that.
Anyway, on startup, press F12 until you get the boot options and try that.
I take it that you know the support site URL, but just in case, it's support.dell.com

Resetting a Toshiba BIOS Password
Download (Keydisk) http://www.cgsecurity.org/keydisk.exe will reset the BIOS password on Toshiba laptops.

Can be reset using the Key Disk.exe utility, to do this you need a 1.44Mb floppy disk. Format the disk using Windows and then with a hex editor, change the first five bytes of the second sector to 4B 45 59 00 00.

Then put the floppy into your machine and boot it up, you'll be asked for a password, just press Enter. Then when you're asked to set the password, type Y then Enter, this will get you into the bios configuration where you can then type in a new password.

Resetting the BIOS Password using Software Every system must store the BIOS password information somewhere. If you are able to access the machine after it has been booted successfully, you may be able to view the BIOS password. You must know the memory address where the BIOS password is stored, and the format in which the BIOS password is stored. Or, you must have a program that knows these things.
You can write your own program to read the BIOS password from the CMOS memory on a PC by writing the address of the byte of CMOS memory that you wish to read in port 0x370, and then reading the contents of port 0x371.
!BIOS will recover the BIOS password for most common BIOS versions, including IBM, American Megatrends Inc, Award and Phoenix.

Cannot boot laptop because of bios password

Easiest way to wipe clean the Bios password is as follows:
  • Perform a power drain by removing laptop battery pack and/or docking station power supply and hold power button down for 10 seconds
  • Locate the CMOS battery (usually under the smallest panel on the bottom of the laptop)
  • Remove CMOS battery for 20 minutes (20 is arbitrary can wait longer if you wish)
  • Replace CMOS battery and panel
  • Replace battery pack and/or replace to docking station
  • Power up
The Bios password should now be removed and you should be able to boot with no issues. Thank you for using Fixya and please remember to return to rate this answer.

HP530 bios resetting

The only way to clear the password in BIOS is to open the cover and take out the battery on the motherboard. It is not hard to find on the motherboard, it looks like a watch battery. Take it out, wait about 5 mintues. then put it back in and boot. That will clear the BIOS password.

IBM T21 NEW MOTHERBOARD PASSWORD PROBLEM

Break BIOS Password
A user may also put a BIOS password preventing you to even enter the system but if you wish to access the system do not worry we you can still do it. However, I only recommend this trick for your own personal use.

What is BIOS?
Bios stands for Basic Input Output System and is a firmware code run by a PC when first powered on, which is a type of boot loader. The primary function of the BIOS is to identify and initialize system component hardware (such as the video display card, hard disk, and floppy).

How to Break a BIOS Password?

The following steps work absolutely fine for a Desktop and are the easiest of all.
Steps:
• Shut down the computer and take out all the plugs connected to electricity.
• Open up the CPU cabinet and locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard (it will be a silver circular battery just like a button cell).

Remove the battery and keep it out for some 2-3 minutes as this will flush out the CMOS memory which stores the BIOS password and all other configurations.

• Now place the battery back and start the computer normally.

Steps for Laptop:

• Open up the BIOS at the time of booting.

• There are some backdoor passwords which the manufacturing company had set that will be accepted by the BIOS. You will just need to know the make of your BIOS. Try out the passwords from these lists.
List of Award BIOS backdoor passwords:
BIOSTAR, AWARD_SW, AWARD SW, AWARD PW, CONDO, LKWPETER, J262, 01322222
List of AMI BIOS backdoor passwords:
AMI, AAAMMMIII, BIOS, PASSWORD, A.M.I., CONDO
List of PHOENIX BIOS backdoor passwords:
phoenix, PHOENIX, CMOS, BIOS

Locked out

Your newphew has password protected your laptop. You will need to get the password from him. Thinkpad BIOS hacking and cracking is big business. Because its next to impossible to break the code. There are thousands of websites that are dedicated to this little lock out function. If you go to Google search and type in 'Thinkpad BIOS Password Reset' nearly 2,000,000 (two million) websites are listed. Now you see where I'm coming from. I found a list of backdoor passwords but I'm not saying they'll work. You can call IBM's hotline from there website, they may know how to do this. The only sure bet you have now is your nephew which I'm glad I'm not in his shoes right now. You can try and research some of the websites and there solutions from the google search. I know these aren't the answers you want to hear but I hope that I've helped you out in some way. Good Luck to You.
