Bosh washing machine won't do any programmes

Bosch washing machine wont do any programmes. Its 6 years old. Water will infill and drain. Programmes clicks but no action. Is it a small repair to drum?

  • valwatson8 May 23, 2009

Not sure but have an engineer coming to look at as he thinks its a small part that needed to fix it, so I'll see if that does the trick.

I can't hearing any noise, it fills perfectly okay and drains likewise. It tries to click into programme, I can hear the click but something is stopping it from working the programme, perhaps the switch is faulty or some such small part, one hopes. Thank you.

If it fills then the next phase is to agitate.
To do that the motor must drive
Can you hear a whirring sound from the machine if you get close to it if so then the belt driving driving drum may have snapped.
If not then the motor brushes may have stuck or have worn out.
Does the machine programmer advance by itself or are you turning the dial

Sounds like the motor brushes have worn out

MACHINE STICKS WHEN SPIN PROGRAMME REACHED

The 03 error code is the drain. Disconnect the drain hoses and check for blockages. If no blockage "time" the drain interval. If it's more than 6 minutes it's the pump. Also make sure you're using the correct type of soap so the ball check valve on the bottom of the outer drum isn't getting fouled with excessive suds. Also disconnect the drain hose from your house plumbing and let it free flow on it's own. This will tell you if the block is in your plumbing, and not in the machine. Assuming that your filter is clean.

Bosch classixx 1200 washing machine stalling mid-cycle

(E4) There is a round door on the lower front of the washer. There is a small hole near the door. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole, push in just a little, and you can rotate the door clockwise, the door will come out and you can get to the problem. When the water is drained in machine the door is open able.

Immediately facing you is a black connector, about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter. When you unscrew this, all the water left in the washer will spill out onto the floor. Use a plastic bag to catch this or a small pan.(later models have a drain hose?) The black connector unscrews counterclockwise, and takes quite a few turns. Once you have it out, you'll find the source of your clog. Remove it, clean out, screw the black connector back in. You can check with rinse, if you want to make sure there are no leaks. Put the door back on and rotate. I will try to come back to you re. the wash, wash.

We have a Bosch Exxcel Washer Dryer and it seems that at the end of any programme, the washer does not drain and spin (but does drain and spin in independent programmes) - it just continues at 0.01 mins...

would try cleaning your pump and sump as when its draining without the force of the spin the pump is idle but with the force when you put on other programs ie the spin this will push the water through the pump hope this helps
