The manual doesn't show how to remove the fan ..i'm going to see if i can pop the black 'housing' loose from the case - the grid in the back. that ssems to be the best bet for getting the whole thing out .. to see how the fan is mounted in it. can always glue it back on if the tabs break. The manual doesn't show how to remove the fan ..i'm going to see if i can pop the black 'housing' loose from the case - the grid in the back. that ssems to be the best bet for getting the whole thing out .. to see how the fan is mounted in it. can always glue it back on if the tabs break.
The solution is 2 black tabs on the black fan 'housing' ..gently push down & they release a 'lock' tab allowing removal of the complete black plastic fan housing with fan inside. fan is mounted on some rubber grommet type things. The solution is 2 black tabs on the black fan 'housing' ..gently push down & they release a 'lock' tab allowing removal of the complete black plastic fan housing with fan inside. fan is mounted on some rubber grommet type things.

first switch of the computer remove the side covers then switch on the computer and see whether the computer fan is spinning if spinning then remove the memory card from the memory slot clean it with a cloth insert them to the slot and switch on the computer if still not working remove the processor fan
and clan the processor fan and the processor with a clean cloth and paste a thin layer of heat sink solvent on the processor and place the fan tightly on the processor if still not working change the processor which is suitable for the socket and see whether its working
This indicates that the Processor is getting too hot. When the Processor gets hot the computer is programed to increase fan speed to cool itself down. To solve this problem you will want to install a chassis fan in your computer's chassis, either bringing freash air into system (intake) or as an exhaust blowing air out of your computer system. Purchase them at your local computer store they are inexpensive and are a great asset to your computer system.
Another option that will help the most is to clean the processor fan of dust. Dust accumulates over the heatsink and prevents the cool air from cooling your processor. Remove the dust with a vaccum cleaner and a paint brush. Do it in a very gental manner as you don't want to damage the fan blades. In some cases it is possible to remove the fan and get at the dust that way.
is your fan brand new? you can remove cover of that power supply and take out that fan put some lubricant like f2 oil. that brand i use to lubricant on scanner and printer and in fan also.
The Dell 8300 does not use industry standard parts. You need Dell specific parts in order to replace the fan. Here is a link to a replacement fan shroud assembly for your Dimension: http://www.discountelectronics.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=845
