Driver for windows vista

You may download the software and/or request a CD from from here.

USB connection will allow still photos ONLY to be capture to a computer. To capture the footage from the tape you will have to connect with a firewire cable, also called iLink or IEEE1394a. Windows Movie Maker will be one program that can capture the footage.

Windows 7

* Drivers:
o The drivers needed to connect your Sony camcorder to a computer and transfer files are already included in the operating system.
* Not Supported:
o The USB streaming feature is not supported with the Windows 7 operating system.
o The Windows 7 Starter edition is not supported.


Windows Vista

* Drivers:
o The drivers needed to connect your Sony camcorder to a computer and transfer files are already included in the operating system.
* Not Supported:
o The USB streaming feature is not supported with the Windows Vista operating system.
o The Windows Vista Starter edition is not supported.

Windows XP

There is now Windows Vista support for this product and a new set of drivers.

I've posted a link to the download page as you will need to chose your specific operating system from the drop down menu.
