After 3 failed attempts to enter your PIN code, your SIM card will be blocked and you will need to enter your PUK code (Personal Unblocking Key). Your card will be unblocked as soon as you enter the PUK code. Your mobile phone will then ask you to enter a new PIN code and to confirm it.
There are 3 ways you can find your PUK code:
Find the welcome letter that you had received along with your SIM card.
Or call our customer service. Make sure you have your customer number (shown in the top right corner of your invoice, see Where to find your customer number) at hand and follow the instructions. Your PUK code will be communicated to you.
These directions are for an AT and T phone, but other than that, are the same for any carrier. PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PIN numberto unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are then given10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is entered afterthe 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and will require anew SIM card from your mobile phone provider. If you forgot the PIN of your phone, don't worry, PIN is for your simcard (USIM), it is ok to block it. After 3 consecutive unsuccessful attempt it will prompt with or ask the PUK code, this code will unblock the PIN of your SIM, you have to enter the correct PUK so that it will ask you to enter your new PIN code. Only our Network providers can provide the PUK codes, however, it is sometimes indicated or printed on the SIMCARD package or the Card case itself.
When your SIM card is blocked, after a wrong PIN code has been entered morethan 3 times, it will ask you for a PUK code. The PUK code is used to unblock your PIN code.
You can contact your network service provider customer care and they will provide you with a PUK code for free.
you have to phone 07973100450 from a land line. it will ask you for your phone number a few times then it will pass you to a REAL person who will ask you ask you a few security questions like what are the last four numbers of your top-up card and vol lia that is how you get your four digit id code!!!!!!!
Every PUK code is unique so nobody can tell you your PUK number, but i will tell you what you can do! 1)
If you still have your packet that your Sim Card came in, you should
find your PUK number in there, if you don't have the packet, please
read bellow.
2) You must get a phone that is on the same network
as your phone and call the networks Customer Care and ask them for your
PUK number, they will ask you for your phone number, then they will
tell you your PUK number. Once you have done this, you will be able to
reset your Pin number so you will be able to go into your phone again.
