Stopped working in mid drill. squeeze the trigger, nothing happens
I have a Milwaukee 5318-21 rotary hammer drill. Was using it the other day and it just stopped in mid drill. squeeze the trigger, nothing happens. any ideas?

It could be a dirty switch connection in the trigger assembly , it happens to me on my electric sanders all the time , just open it up and try blowing it out with an air compressor

if this is a Milwaukee drill, go t Milwaukeetools.com and type in the model number and you can download an instruction/owners manual. If not give me the brand and I will try and find one for you.
if it does'nt have a keye'd chuck, it may have arubber collar, spary some lube down into chuck and firmly push down,w handle agains't ground or other firm surface
Go to Milwaukeetool.com and look under parts manuals. Type in the model you need and all the electrical/parts drawings will come up. You will need the serial number as well to get the most current drawing.
this how to get a chuck off a drill.look inside the chuck for a screw. it will be a left handed screw.once
you get the screw out put the chuck in a vice . you will need to
squeeze it very tight. then put the drill in reverse and pull the
trigger.if i wont come off you will need to hit the chuck with a hammer
while you are holding the trigger. if you have a bit stuck in the chuck and cant get it out put the chuck in the vice and hit it very hard with a hammer until the chuck falls apart.i work on drills every day ,this is the only way we have found that works
Could be quite a few things from the switch to the brushes. Milwaukee I believe now has a 5 year warranty on their tools so I would recommend taking back for warranty service. Let me know if not and I would need the model number so I can look at the parts and try to come up with something.
HAVE YOU CHECKED THE BATTERIES TO VERIFY THAT THEY ARE TAKING A CHARGE? PUT A VOLTAGE METER ON THE BATTERY AND VERIFY THEY HAVE A CHARGE. IF NOT, REPLACE THE BATTERIES.
