Freezer door ice dispenser flap will not close completely. The cold air is leaking out of the freezer. What can I do to fix?

There are multiple parts to the dispenser for GE. You say that door isn't closing properly, which could mean that the solenoid isn't working properly, or that the door flap retainer itself is broken, I want to say that they make a complete kit for it but not for certain,

Ice machine flap doesn't close all the way, then stays closed

There is a ice door solenoid for your dispenser, its probably the problem. Costs about 35 dollars and just about anyone can replace it.

Noise in crisper

There is a flap at the bottom back left of the refrigerator that opens and closes to let cold air into the area (much like the vents in your car). This flap is controlled by an electric motor to automatically open and close. The noise happens when the motor closes the flap; however, it continues to try to close the flap even after the flap is closed. There must be a ratchet on the motor and that is where you are getting the ratchet noise. I don't know why the electric motor continues to try to close the flap after it is closed. It could be a limit switch that has gone bad and the motor doesn't know the flap is closed. It appears that this electric motor/flap is a separate assembly in itself and I may just go order a new part to replace it. That is as far as I have been able to solve this problem.
