Refrigerator not cold

In order to reset your Frigidaire refrigerator you would need to disconnect power from it for roughly ten minutes. You can do that by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. If that does not correct your cooling issue I would recommend contacting a professional to come out and diagnosis your appliance to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Based off the information for your Frigidaire refrigerator I see that your fresh food side is not cooling and the alarm is going off. I would check to verify there is no food or packages blocking the rear vent. If there is nothing blocking the vent place your hand back there to check if you feel any cold air coming out of the damper. If there is no cold air coming out of the damper it could be an issue within your evaporator fan, if there is cold air coming out I would set your temperature to a colder setting.

Changing the temperature inside your appliance can take up to 24 hours to stabilize. If you continue having issues with your refrigerator I would seek assistance from a professional to come out and properly diagnose and repair your appliance. I hope this helps. -Matt

That is the dumbest answer I've ever heard from a technician.

The cold control on most boxes controls the freezer temperature. You want the freezer temp to be around zero degrees.

Somewhere (usually in the refrigerator section) there's another control that actually sets a damper, letting some cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator. Higher numbers equal lower temperature. Find that second control knob and turn it up by 1 or 2 numbers, let an hour or so pass and check your refrigerator temp. You want about 40 degrees in the fridge.

Prepare to replace the t'stat. At least it is freezing and you haven't lost anything.

Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing thencheck out the last two tips.

When you say "The items in the freezer are cold with some ice on them. I have tried emptying the ice tray, but that does not help." Is there literally ice from the ice bucket dripping on the food and refreezing, or is there a layer of frost on the food? the noise you are hearing is most likely due to the evaporator fan motor running at alternating low and high speeds. This is a variable speed motor, but there could be quite a few reasons why the motor is not rotating at regulated speeds. the fan motor itself, a faulty thermistor, you could also have an issue with your main control board, or least of all a wiring issue.
You would be wise to have it inspected by a reliable refrigerator repair service, to at least determine what the problem is for certain.

take everything out of it, and let it thaw for 24 hours, using towels and whatever to clean up the water......then plug it back in, if it still does it, like 2 days later, it's broke, if it doesn't it was just the coil in the back that froze up. Happened to me.

if the freezer is cold and the fridge is not then it can be several things. The freezer could have a bunrt out defrost heater, defrost timer faulty, fan not working in the freezer??. all of these things will stop your fridge getting cold, but your freezer will still be around minus 9 deg c. you wont get any air into the fridge as the coil in the freezer is prob all iced over. Dont worry about the heat on the door frame as it is only the anti sweat heater
