My touch screen keeps randomly getting lines and weird cracked looking type marks randomly on the screen sometimes. I will exit out of the tab and the other tab will be fine. or if I am scrolling down, there will be a weird block that will come up... I don't really know how best to describe it...

the lines issue to me sounds like the notebook was dropped (damage)

Sound like you might have a virus - try running antivirus program - such as Avast or Antivir - which is free.
If that doesn't work, then try doing a System Restore - if that doesn't work, then do a System Recovery complete re-install - but back up your pictures and documents first as you will lose everything and you'll be starting over again fresh.

Try scanning your computer with radarsync to know which drivers are out-of-date. It has something to do with the device drivers for sure. Update the drivers using RadarSync.
If it still not going to fix the problem then check if there's a sign of overheating after it shuts down. You might want to get it opened by a technician so that he or she can clean the air passages and fans inside your computer.
