It is unable to print because maintenance need 4f. How much jdoes it cost to fix that? Should I just buy a new printer? If so, can I use this one as a scanner?
What happened to prother's section on repairmen? I want to call/go but have no idea where I put the repairman's phone number.

To resolve the issue you'r facing with, you need to access the internal maintenance mode by pressing the Menu/Set button, then press * 2 8 6 4 within 2 seconds. This should put you in the maintenance mode menu. Enter 80, then scroll down with the arrow down (round) key. You'll find an entry listed as purge count. If number is over 6000, enter 2 7 8 3.
This will reset the purge count value. Then the printer will restart, hopefully without the error code 4F.

I would suggest but only if you want to get yourself a kodak printer.
and the reason for this is they have better customer service good quality printers and oh yeah their ink is less than half the price of other companys usually $15 for color and $10 for black inks ..check it out

My Brother MFC 210C stopped printing. It says error code 4F. It has no faxes or obstructions in it.
Thank you, Rylee Smith, for telling me about page count on my Brother MFC 210C. Page count was about 3025 and now its zero. I still have problem 4F. What else could I try?

It is good for unable to clean error. I still have that "machine error 4f"!!! Does anybody have any other idea? Please help
