Flashing lights i have a vivera hp printer .and all my indicators and lights on my f4280 are flashing and going crasy ...printer doesn t work and buttons too are jammed ..i pulled off the plug for several minutes and hours and when it came back on it did the same....printer was purchased last august but i actually installed it in january ....thanks

Check inside the machine at both ends of the cartridge carriage path i.e. far left and far right. Check for scrunched up paper and note, if it is there, it will likely be black with ink. If found please remove. Next take the back off the machine (there is usually a removable plate there to get to paper jams) and remove anything you find there. Also look right through towards the front and see if the little drop down paper feed sensor arms are all visible and swing freely. If not, fix them as you can. Once you have done these things, put everything back together and leave the printer powered off for 30sec. Power it up and see what happens. If you are still no go, either take it to a service tech or check to see if your insurance covers printers being beaten to death with a 4 pound hammer.

go to MENU and restore the factory defaulty and try again.
If the problem persist, you must call to the tech, for autotest.

the scan function won\'t work on my HP Deskjet F4280. When I press the scan button, all that happens is the light on the power button starts flashing. Any assistance would be much appreciated

go online to HP Vivera. There you will find many options and resources to getting a replacement disk.

keep the cartidge in Hot Water for 30 minutes. maybe it works.

You cannot reset the ink level indicator for a cartridge that has been refilled so ignore it.
