Even on a Macbook pro, you should be able to access your "my computer" option, where it shows you the local disk drives and everything. your mp3 player icon should appear there. then after you click on the icon it should bring up a page containing folders "on" your mp3 player. there doesnt have to be any music or videos or anything like that to have the folders already on there. now i dont have a mac but what i suggested you to do should work.
The only solution I've found is to reformat the thumb drive. Ensure that you format it on "FAT" and not "FAT32". As far as the second guy that had the same problem, drivers aren't needed for it's seen as a MMS Device. It's essentially a thumb drive, should be plug and play. Format it, redownload your music to it and you should be good to go.
The Opal has a reset hole on the back of the unit in which a toothpick (non metallic) can be inserted to reboot the player. If this does not work, I suggest that you reformat the player by using the WindowsTM format command on the unit. To reformat the memory
Right click on the device within the Explorer or My Computer window
Select the format command (full format) to reformat the internal memory of the device.
my mp3 player RCA M2000 will not play...
when i'm turning on... i cant hear some music and i cant understand the text on the screen...on the mp3...in the other day it's have a virus..but i'm trying to reformat...nothings gonna happen...any body can help me?
I've had the same problem, an it started when I formatted the player's flash memory to NTFS, an then realised it needed to be back in FAT(Win95) format for the mp3 player to play the songs. But after doing that, sometimes it'll mess up an the song number changes to 826, an the player completely freezes. I have to then take the battery out to restart it. If anyone has schematics, or knows where I can track them down, I would be appreciative, for the RCA lyra M200
