The digital clock and temperature/timer display on my wall oven has dimmed such that it can't be read. Otherwise the oven works fine, including the interior oven light. Is there an easy fix or does a circuit board need to be replaced? The oven is a Jenn-Air Model #JMW9527AAB. It is a single oven, not a double oven.
Hi, this will happen over a period of time and its just heat related. the control panel isn't insulated properly and , there has been a larger than normal transfer of heat to the inside of the control panel where the circuits are housed.
If this is a problem, i recommend replacing the control board. it will fix the dim issue.
you can pull display board out usually 2 screws & replace the c3 capacitor on board its a 68uf 35v its better to go with the 100uf 50v high temp. You can get it at bout any electronic store for around a $1.You will have to have a low heat soldering pencil & small solder it has to b resin core not acid core. Then a little soldering skills to desolder the old one & solder the new one n.Its alot cheaper then buying the board
