the procesor on main board is in short circuit, in other words you will have to replace the board, unfortunely polaroid dont sell it, i check the whole entire camera with an osciloscope and the chip isnt giving me the right values,,it just click inside but no power up,,sorry get new camera and research for brand problesms before you buy...
Does it not show any signs of powering ON at all? If yes, then make sure your have charged the battery and it is full. If it wont still power ON your camera, try cleaning the battery contacts both on the phone and on the battery; use a cotton ear bud with baking soda but make sure there wont be any residue that would get inside the camera. Then try powering it on again. If it still wont, then you might need to replace the battery.
Try Power Resetting the Camera which should resolve the issue.
To Power Reset the Camera, First, please turn OFF the Camera. Then, remove the battery pack from the Camera. Then, press and hold the POWER button on the Camera for 30 seconds. Then, reinsert the battery pack and check whether the issue is resolved.
If the issue still persits after Power Resetting the Camera service of the Camera is recommended.
Check to make sure the batteries you are using have enough strength and volt power, if not it wont work. If they are really cheap, and last only a weak in the remote, they wont power up a camera.
I just posted that I have this problem as well. Then, after browsing further at Canon's site, I found a possible link between the memory card and the power problem. Sure enough, I popped the memory card out and reinserted it and the camera powered right up. I hope this helps others. . . .
