Hello I have bought a replacement door seal for the fridge compartment of a Zanussi ZF 45/30 side-by-side fridge freezer. It looks as if the inside moulding of the door panel screws off and the seal fits behind it. Is that true, or is there a different way to fit the new seal.
Thanks for you r help.

Hello, you mean you have a door gasket. A good, step-by-step article on
this pesky concept of "panel-screw" gasket installation is found on
this handy page:
Hello,
That seal you should be able to order from any appliance spares supplier the Zannussi part number is. 3577252020. cost in euros. € 10.20 + vat.If it is the one I think it is then it is not easy to fit.The screws around the whole front panel have to be slackened off and the front prised forward dont take off fully pull old one off the new one has to be pushed in behind lip then fix all screws.may be easier with door off.
Hope I helped.
not sure why the seal is faulty but yes you can buy a rubber seal for the door go to your local hardware store you might have to look in the section that stops drafts from entering a room or rubber flex material with a adhesive tape that can be formed into any shape eg around a outlet pipe or to seal a window etc and you can always trim some rubber sealer to fit if its a little large . I used a foam roll with adhesive tape to seal my freezer door on a mini bar fridge and its still in use today
Hi Gareth. I fitted a door to my Hotpoint hsz2321L today. I used self tapping screws through the brackets into the fridge door sides. Looking at the old fridge that came out showed that this was the method used previously. No seal is broken and so the fridge is working perfectly. I do have an issue re-fitting the door onto the new fridge though. The pivot hinge on my fridge doesnt give enough clearance and so it catches on the unit at the side of it. The old fridge (a Bosch) cad cabinet hinges that would sort of concertina out to give clearence. Anyway, good luck.
Try contacting the hotline again and ask them if the freezer has a frost sensor on it. If it does, the sensor is not kicking the thermostat to allow for the unit to defrost.
the fridge door stays shut only by strip magnets inside the door seal.
cause is possibly that the hinges are out of line or the cabinet distorted. try levelling the fridge and tilt slightly backwards
