In that case the outlet your using is pushing out too much electricity. Try calling your local electric company for help or a professional electric repair man.

Breakers can trip when an appliance is using more power than what the wire of that curcuit is rated for. i.e. a microwave might use 20 amps on start up on a15 amp breaker. This will cause a trip. Try a smaller watt microwave or run a larger wire size on a propper breaker to the outlet

It just quit. is there a fuse? MW8102SS

most micros have either a 15amp or 20 amp ceramic fuse at the top behind the touch pad. cover has to be removed. don't touch the hv capacitor. check fuse for continuity if none replace with like fuse. if it blows again you have another problem.

Emerson MW9111 will not heat- all timers & clock work

Normally when you take the cover off, the fuse will be on the right of the oven on the circuit board.

What amp of fuse do I need

There should be a paper tag near the fuse holder, or the fuse holder itself should be marked as to current requirement.

Most older or smaller models used 15A or sometimes 12A ceramic fuses.

Newer or more powerful models use 15A or 20A ceramic fuses.

Blown Fuse

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.

If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.

If it goes dead or blows the breaker when you plug it in or open or close the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch mount.
