The blade is frozen or locked and will not spin easily

The machine will spin if the pan is not inserted. But can not spin after pan is placed in machine. The morning has a small amount of rust and I have tried oiling it.

I have a Felker Tile Master saw and was told there is a button to hold to change out the blade. I assume this locks the motor. I can't seem to find it. Need help!

It's called the shaft lock. I attached a pic of a Felker manual diagram. Your saw will be the same or similar.

I have the 14-Cup Cuisinart Elite Collection Food Processor. Up until recently it was working fine. Recently when using the shredder blade, when I insert food into the feeding tube the blade stops...

If the unit works OK with other attachments and the problem is only with the one cup; then the blade may be loose and spins on the shaft, the connection gear under the bottom is worn or binding up. Debris is stuck around the blade shaft or from heating up the metal parts expanded and bind when turning.

Rotating shaft will not rotate - during the kneading process nothing happens

Hi,
1) Make sure bread pan is inserted in the machine correctly. 2) Take pan out of the machine and make sure the paddle spins freely on the shaft. ( If not, sealed bearing is frozen and pan needs to be replaced. 3) Keep pan out of machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If not the belt may have come off , snapped or there is something wrong with the motor or curcit board in the machine . Hank

Why did the kneading paddle on my 1148X bread machine quit working. This happened the third time it was used. It did the initial mixing and resting. When it started the kneading process again, the blade...

Hi, If this is the third time using it, it could be defective. Return it for service. If not under warranty, try a few things. 1) Make sure the pan is inserted in the machine correctly. 2) Make sure that the paddle is not sticking, or the sealed bearing on the bottom of the bread pan is not broken or frozen. (Take pan out and see if you can turn the paddle freely by hand). Or finally, the belt may be loose and slipping, especially when it takes more power to knead the dough the second time. Good luck...Hank

The paddle doesn't seem to have a strong enough "push" behind it

Hello, Either the blade is sticking or the belt is loose. Take the pan out and see if you can spin the paddle freely by hand. The paddle should turn nice and free. If it doesn't then the lubricated bearing the paddle rotates on is sticking. This could be due to wear. Put some warm water in the pan and let it sit. Try a few times...DO NOT put the whole pan in water...just fill it. If that's a no go the lubricated bearing is frozen and the pan needs to be replaced. If everything is fine in the pan, then the belt is loose. Belt, pulleys and motor are located in the base of the machine. Remember to unplug first before working on it.. Hank

First time use. set machine to dough and pressed

Hi, Keep the bread pan out of the machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft is turning. If no...then the belt fell off. If the motor spins, check to make sure the paddle spins freely. Keep pan out and turn paddle by hand. If no then the bearing is frozen. If that's ok..make sure you inserted the pan correctly into machine. If everything checks out then it's a faulty machine. Before you do anything send it out for warranty service. Usually it's warranted for a year. Hank

Drive shaft no longer turns kneading blade on model k6725

Hi,
Either the paddle is frozen in the bread pan ( take pan & paddle out of machine and see if you can turn it by hand), or the belt has fallen off or has snapped. (Keep the bread pan out of the machine & run a knead cycle, look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft spins. Hank

The mixer blade won't mix. The motor runs but blade won't go.

Hi,
Take the pan out of the machine with the paddle attached and see if you can spin the paddle freely by hand. If you can that's great. If you can't then the paddle is stuck or the bearing is broken.

Then, with the pan out of the machine start it up and look through the lid . Check to see if the shaft where the bread pan and paddle usually goes is spinning. If not then check to see if the drive belt inside the machine fell off or if it needs to be replaced.

Its engine moves but the bladein the pan doesn't

Hi,
First, please take the pan out of the machine and put the paddle on and see if it spins freely. If it does not spin freely it may be stuck or the bearing is seized.

Then, keeping the pan out of the machine start the machine at the kneading cycle and see if the motor spindle spins. If it doesn't you may need a new drive belt.

Finally, if the pan is good, and the belt is good, then the motor may be broken.
