Are the dark spots random and moves location with every copy or are they at exacly the same place on every copy? Random you will need to remove the drum/toner and use a blower to clean the inside of the machine, failing that replace the drum unit.If the spots don't move clean the top glass.Let me know

Its me again, after the user changed a new toner cartridge after few copies there is a dark back ground in copy.before replacing the toner the copy was perfect pls help me in this problem

Hi, After a few copies, the toner supply unit pulls more toner, which results in dark copies. To fix this, you have to reduce the contrast (to minimum). Also, make sure that there is no excess toner within the toner supply unit.
Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya! CreativeTECH

Our Gestetner DSm645 gives Dark Copies..........

Sounds to me like the drum needs replacing, and likely the developer too. There is probably a haze of toner still on the drum. You can check by opening the right side cover and looking at it. Is there toner on the drum (green cylinder). It may not be too obvious depending on how dark the copies are. GENTLY wipe a tissue across it after making several copies - it should be clean if the drum is functioning properly. If it is, it could be the fuser that is wearing out, but I'm leaning toward the drum. As I said, if you need to replace this, it is a good idea to do developer at the same time, because these machines tend to be a little sensitive.

On the konica 2223 when printing it leaves a dark thick line down the center of the paper.

Konica 2223 copiers are analog meaning the image that comes out on copies is a direct reflection off of the copy. Dirty mirrors in the optic section can cause a dark band, but it is more of a shading effect. Drum assembly's can be removed. The image drum has a cleaning section that uses a urethane blade to clean excess toner off of the drum after the copy passes through. It is simply called a "Cleaning Blade" these blades can be ordered through most online copier part stores. Last but not least is the "Upper Fuser Roller". this is the hot roller the paper passes through to "set" the toner to the paper. These are coated with teflon to prevent toner from sticking to them. They have "seperator claws" that keep the paper from adhereing to the roller, and they sometimes gouge the teflon. this exposes bare metal, and the toner can come off of the copies and stick to the roller.

Question

1) For a copy to be blurred: either you need to add more ink (Toner) or you need to increase the toner density
2) When you have dirty copy: Try to clean your glass and the glass cover and also clean the mirrors inside and the zoom/lens.
3) a dark dot: you have to bring out the drum unit and roll it round you may be able to see a spot on, clean it with a fry cloth and fix it back to its position.
