No power when i turn on. The standby light flashes once and nothing else happens. No display or functionality at all

Sounds like either a blown mainpower fuse or the thermal fuse for the power transformer. If the protect circuit was kicking in, the display would light up, but then turn off with a red blinking light. the green light with no display means the transformer is not getting power.

I also problemma which has strobing - standby/on, temp and lamp lights.This happens as soon as it is plugged into power.

Have you tried unplugging the power supply cable. Wait a couple of minutes then plug it back in. See what happens.
Or HOLD steady the standby button for a couple of seconds and release it once you see the color change to blue. Hope it works.

Hello Charliebigwh, hi technically your monitor's power supply has a problem, this is either your switching regulator does not work or there is a short in that section, If you want to do it your self, need to replace all large value, and or high voltage capacitors(especially the capacitors with its top is bubbly), need also to replace the switching IC, and power transistor.

Have it checked by a technician if you cannot do the work.

I would check any fuses first. The power transformer could also be open.There is a stanby supply that provides 5 volts that is always on . This is what supplys voltage for the standby light and the cpu. When you press the power button the cpu trips the power on relay that provides the 120v ac to the main transformer. If the transformer is open nothing happens. Onkyp part # is 2301798. Check the windings for continuity.

The clicks you are referring to sound like High Voltage Leaks or Arcing. While it is clicking check for sparks around the high voltage transformer only with your eyes from a distance. If you see sparks shut it off immediately.

Mine stayed in stanby mode and all I had to do was to switch the plug to a different outlet. The power strip it was on wasn't providing enough power. It worked fine for a month before I had a problem.

This unit shouldb e flashing a repeated count on the standby light. That count will indicate the circuit in which a problem was detected causig the shutdown. Please post that count and we should be able to provide details on the repair.
