Where can I find a manual for the PE550 weed eater

If the engine is seized up you replace it.

Most weed eaters are opposite to conventional thread. So they are CLOCKWISE to take off

Theres a screw for gas and air mixture on it you need to turn it all the way in then turn it 1 and a half times out , its a perfect factory setting the push primer 3x and turn on choke pull 2x then turn off choke should run hope this

Dirty screen in carb

The blade bolt is normally 9/16, you will need a good socket and long tommy bar to remove the bolt, an impact wrench will take it out very quickly if you have or can borrow one,

I found the manual for this model weed eater, according to the manual the mixture...
and I quote "This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Before operation, gasoline
must be mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle air cooled engine oil designed to be
mixed at a Ratio of 40:1 ...." and I quote once more from the manual "Helpful Tip. To obtain
correct oil mix ration, pour 3.2 ounces of 2 cycle synthetic oil into one gallon of fresh gas."

Your carberator is messed up. Buy a new carb for the unit.

The gas cap may be clogged.

The next time you run the trimmer and it starts to die, loosen the gas cap. If it starts running again, then you know that it's a clogged gas cap.

You may also check the air breather, it may be dirty as well.
