Mine did that and all it was is the door that holds you batteries in gets weak over time. If you hold or squeeze the door closed and it does not happen then you have found you problem. Clean the contacts and try to "bend" them outward to get a cleaner and tighter connection.

Organize negatives for easy access

Over the years I have accumulated an astounding number of pictures and rolls of negatives. They were scattered all over the house in numerous boxes and albums that it started to get out of hand. A few weeks ago I decided to organize my collection of memories into something more together than scattered boxes. I have found that sorting developed pictures was really easy because you just put them all in albums and the problem of organization is solved, negatives on the other hand are a little more complicated.

Like developed pictures you have to protect your negatives from water, but they are also sensitive to dust and hands touching them. Since they can get easily scratched up you have to store them somewhere they won't get played with. You also have to keep them flat because if they get rolled up or folded they will be hard to use or even impossible to make more prints of the images on them.

What you want to do is get some clear plastic negative sleeves. A sleeve can hold an entire roll of 24 exposures so you can store a whole roll together. If you were some what organized before we started you should have information about the rolls of film like when they were taken and where. Using a pen or a sharpie you can lable the negatives for easy access.

Then all you need is a 3 ring binder to store all your negative sleeves in. If you want to get reallly organized you can even create a system of organization for your ablums so you can label the sleeves with the album information so you can easily find the corsponding prints.

The time that is takes to organize your library of photos depends on how many you have to begin with and how organized you were to begin with. I have been working on this for two weeks now and am almost finished!

7 ways to organize your e-mail

Create an online photo albumBecause Windows Live Photos makes it so easy to upload, edit, store, and share photos, one of the first tasks most of us do is create a photo album of our favorite images. Some people create photo blogs that are more about images than text and upload photos from all over—posting the latest images from cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), webcams, and scanners and showing the world what's happening in their lives.
photo-collage.jpgWhat makes a good photo album? The answer is, just about anything—any topic, person, place, or event that you want to share. You might create a photo album to show the 10 finest photos from your best friend's wedding shower. Or you might create a photo album about the weekend you took your son to camp. Or you might simply have one photo album for each of your best friends, or your pets. Whatever the topic of the album, the idea is to group photos in such a way that the folks viewing them will understand how they're connected. You might even simply do a "day-in-the-life" photo album that shows images you captured throughout a single day.
If you don't have your own Windows Live account, go to http://windowslive.com and sign up today! It's free, it's easy, and it’s one convenient place online to share photos, files, e-mail, and see what’s new with your social network.
You can stitch photos together, remove red-eye, crop, and tag photos on your PC with Windows Live Photo Gallery, then upload your albums to your Windows Live Photos page to share online with others. You can also add your favorite photos on your profile so your “What’s New” feed updates to keep friends and family up to date on your latest adventures.
When you're ready to create a photo album, follow these steps:
  1. Go to http://photos.live.com.
  2. Click Create an album.
  3. In the Name box, type the name of your album.
  4. In the Share box, set permissions for those you would like to see your album. You can make your albums public so everyone can see them, share them just with the friends in your Windows Live network, select specific people, or keep them just for yourself.
  5. Click Next.
  6. There are several ways to create your photo album.
Click Select Photos from My Computer to browse for a picture anywhere on your computer.
    -Or-
Click Add from an Existing Album to add photos from an album you've already created and uploaded.
    -Or-
Drag a picture from anyplace on your computer into the Drop photos here box. As soon as you add a photo, the name of the box disappears. To add another photo, drag it to the Drop More Photos here and upload when you're done box. The photo will move to the Drop photos here box
add-photos.jpg When you've added your pictures, select the photos you want to Upload, and that's it! Your album is ready to share.
You and those you've given permissions can choose to view your album as a slideshow or thumbnails.
thumbnails.jpg Show your pictures in a thumbnail view.
slideshow.jpg Display your album as a slideshow.
When you’re done, you can use the Options menu in the upper right to add themes, publish your album in an e-mail, and more.
That's it! Now you can invite everyone you know to come see all your favorite photos. Have fun!

I do not have software

It depends on your operating system.

For Mac, use iPhoto, or if you are more experienced with digital photography, try Aperture.

For Windows, you can use Picasa or digiKAM.

**Picasa and digiKAM will also work for Mac, but iPhoto and Aperture will not work for PC.

"iPhoto makes managing your photos as easy as taking them. It helps you organize your photos so you can find them fast. Edit them so they look their best. And share them with your friends and family."

"You've taken a great shot. Now you're ready to make it even better. Aperture 3 gives you all the tools you need to turn your photography into so much more."

"Picasa is a software download from Google, that helps you organize, edit, and share your photos. The local application usage and the online storage up to 1 GB is free, and it is easy to use. The online version is called Picasa Web Albums."

"digiKam is an advanced digital photo management application for linux/KDE, which makes importing and organizing digital photos a "snap". The photos are organized in albums which can be sorted chronologically, by folder layout or by custom collections."

Aperture: http://www.apple.com/aperture/ ($$)

All the pictures in my kodak easy share program are coming up with a x in the thumbnail. How can i get the pictures back Thanks

Did you move the pics to another location on hard drive? The Easy Share program is just tool to view the pics that are stored on the hard drive. It uses "Albums" to view these pics. The Album is still there but it sounds like the pictures got moved.

Kodak easy share HELP

To create a new album on Kodak EasyShare, you can go to Albums menu -> New Album. To add pictures to this album, select the album that you want and click on Add Pictures which you see on your screen.

If you want to work on a picture u just drag and drop it to Picture Tray. You may want to work on multiple pictures so it's just a space where you can leave them, and work on any.

To upload on My Space, once you're at the Home Page, click "Photos" or "Pictures", click on "add an album", type in name, and then click "Add" on the top. A new window will open showing 2 tabs "My Computer" and "Pictures on my space". Under "My Computer" find your desired picture, select it on the right side and click on "Send".

I hope I have been helpful. If you have any problems, let me know.
