Welcome to FixYa.

I just want to ask if have you tried to check if the battery is completely charged before trying to use and checked the new memory card?
* try to use a new fully charged battery.
* try to clean with soft and dry cloth the memory card slot.
* try to reformat the memory card because possible that memory card was not yet formatted for camera use.

If you already done with this steps, I suugest that you have to bring your digital camera in its service center, if it is sonny, samsung or what ever be the brand. Possible that the repairman damaged the lcd while trying to get rid of the stuck memory card. Because if the only problem was the memory card, the lcd should not be affected because you can still use the camera with its internal memory. Try to bring it to the specialized technician of your camera. If you think if its still under warranty, that will be a big help.

Thank you for using FixYa.

My camera is giving me a "no memory card" sign, but the card is inserted correctly. I have taken it out, cleaned it, and put it back, replaced the batteries, and everything. However, to no avail....

If the camera displays Memory card error, No Memory Card, or takes an abnormally long time to write an image to the memory card, when a memory card is inserted or any of the above error messages, make sure that the card is inserted properly. For SD card, make sure that the card lock switch is in the correct position and not stuck in-between.Try formating the memory card ,if after formatting the card in the camera the error persists, try another memory card. If this occurs with only the one card it is likely that the memory card is defective, if the error persists over more than one card the camera may require service.

When i turn the camera on it says memory ard error

Hi,
If camera show Memory Card Error, Check whether the card is inserted properly or not. For SD card, check out the card lock switch is in the correct position and not stuck in between.
You can Format the memory card in the camera using the Setup Menu option (Format). Please be aware that formatting the memory card will remove any images currently stored on the card along with any other data.
If after formatting the card do not clear the error, try another memory card. If this occurs with only the one card it is likely that the memory card is defective, if the error persists over more than one card the camera may require service.
Rating the solution is highly appriciated...Good Luck

The card is probably defective.
But before buying a new card, try to format the card in the camera. Make sure you have saved all images first. Formatting will "reset" the card and delete all images.
To format the card: Menu/ok, Setup, Format, OK

Memory card stuck in camera

Normally the card is spring loaded, so when you press down on it, it will pop out. If the card is stuck solid, don't try and force it out. Be gentle and try coax it out with some needle nose pliers.
If you feel the plastic flexing or if anything may break, it may a case of dissembling the camera.

Memory card stuck in camera slot

No need for pliers! I was able to eject the memory card by sliding a packing knife along the edge of the memory card. The blade was very thin, narrow, and long. I'm not sure if a regular box cutting knife blade would do. I've been able to eject the memory card with ease about a dozen times using this method.

Since I can't eject the SD card on the go, I use the USB cable to download images from the camera. Glad to know I can remove this when absolutely necessary, but sure wish I could remove anytime I'd like.
