SOURCE: MP3 not charging

If this player has a reset button, you can press that button.
If it doesn't have one, you are required to download a firmware.
You can also contact the vendor of this player.

SOURCE: charging mp3 player

If your MP3 has an inbuilt Li-Ion battery (e.g. no compartment for a standard/Ni-MH AAA battery), then connecting the player to your computer will normally charge it - this is the case for the PD-6070 'stick' player. Your player will also indicate that it is being charged (or not charged!) via the battery level/power indicator which is located on the top RHS.
Hope it helps!

The mp3 player won't charge when I plug it into the computer and my wife's won't accept any more playlist

I dont know about the playlist. But if the Sansa LION battery goes too low it shuts down. When you plug it into your computer to charge the player, It usually powers up so the computer can detect the hardware being plugged into the USB port and provide power for charge.
You need to plug in the USB cable from the player to the PC and perform a system reset - Press and hold for 20 seconds the power on button and the play button (>||). this should work you may try it on your wifes player?

Mp3 player will not turn on, it is fully charged

First try resetting it = To reset your zen = Put a pen head in the hole under the power button for 20 seconds.

A depleted battery may have any of the following symptoms:
The charging icon is missing
The blue power LED is not blinking
The player turns off immediately when it is disconnected from its power supply
Not showing any signs of activity (with the exception of the blue power LED)
No LCD display
The player is not detected by Windows or any programs
If the player shows the above symptoms, download the firmware below and follow the step by step instructions to install the firmware update.

May have to format if nothing eles works.

MP3 Player won't charge or turn on

Try charging it up on a different computer. It says in the instructions that they cannot guarantee the charging of the battery on personally assembled or modified computers. I had the same problem with mine on our independent computer shop bought PC, but it is charging up fine now that I've plugged it into my hubby's laptop which was bought in a PC supermarket. I hope this helps.

My ipod shuffle wont play music

It won't play music while connected to computer, that's for sure. It only plays when it's disconnected from the wall charger and computer.

The songs could be in the wrong format
AAC is iTunes native format
Mp3 generally works
WMA is iffy - only unprotected (non-DRM) files will work
Streaming songs won't work

Nothing works

Does it say Philips and then go dark? If so, try pushing the reset button. Mine did this yesterday, because I did a complete erase. I had to push the reset a couple of times, then it started working again. I'm back in business, and listening to my songs as I type this.

Is your battery charged fully? Did you let it charge via your computer?
