The top part of mine came unscrewed when taking it out of the cigarette lighter & I lost the fuse, spring, and metal tip. Any ideas of what the replacement parts would be that I could order?

All Whistler radar detectors have a 2 amp fuse in the plug part of the power cord. To access the fuse you need to unscrew the tip of the plug to gain access. If the tip is missing you can email [email protected] with details and they can get the missing parts to you.
Mine did the same thing. I had to replace the fuse (Radio Shack, 3 for $3.99). The fuse is easy to replace. Just unscrew the tip of the part that fits in the power port/cigarette lighter, dump out the old fuse, and put in the new one. Then replace the tip. Don't lose the metal button at the tip of the power plug when you unscrew it. Also, there is a power switch on the left side that you have to press to turn the thing on.
Mine powers up fine but I can't get it to transmit anything. Anyone have a fix for that?
If it is the fuse inside the cigarette lighter plug, just unscrew it and put a new fuse in.
If you mean replacing the two 25amp fuses inside the inverter housing, you can bypass the fuses by soldering the two sides together. Or, if you want to put new fuses in, heat the solder holding the fuses in until they pop out and insert new ones.
As for opening the housing, good luck!! I ended up using steel cutters to rip off the plastic. The best option would be to buy a new one and return the old one in the package.
un screw the the tip of your charger that fits into the cigarette lighter, it is inside, be careful not to lose the spring, but if you do, a spring from a pen will work, i dont think you can buy one from garmin
It is labeled ACC (accessory) and is located under the driver side
dash. to the left of the fuel/hood release. 15 amp BLUE fuse, bottom
left if i remember correctly!
