Microsoft DirectX 9.0c (April 2006 Edition) is included on this CD. You will be prompted to install DirectX during the installation of this game if this or a more recent version is not already properly installed on your system.
NOTE: DirectX may require the "latest" updates for your operating system. This may also include the latest drivers for your motherboard, sound, and video hardware.

Installation: Installation requires 3.5 GB of free hard drive space. We recommend that you have an additional 500 MB of free space available after installing the game for the Windows swap/page file.

You must have local Administrator rights to properly install LEGO Star Wars II and update Dire

No other programs should be running in the background.
System resources should be at least 85% free.

To check this:
Press CTRL-ALT-DEL once, choose Task Manager, choose the Performance tab, and check CPU Usage.
There should be at least 500 MB of free hard disk space after installation.

If you experience performance issues when running LEGO Star Wars II, we recommend that adjust the following options in the Video Options menu:

Lower the video resolution.
Set Antialias to Off
If this option is set to Antialias from Control Panel, you will need to set your Antialiasing Setting to Application-Controlled in the Windows Display Properties for your specific graphics card.
Disable Bloom Effect.

Please close all other programs before running LEGO Star Wars II. This includes virus-scanning, word processing, and Internet programs. Simply disabling these programs will not always help, as the programs still use resources that are needed to run LEGO Star Wars II. If you experience problems completely closing programs that are running, consult the documentation for those individual programs. This is a common problem when trying to completely disable virus-scanning software.

SOURCE: error message wrong disc inserted

i tried EVERYTHING to fix this. nothing worked, went to the retailer where i bought it and got another copy. same problem.
solution- go to cosmi.com, go to the customer service page, and tell them exactly whats going on. i did this and within a day i had recieved a reply e mail and within a week i had a brand new copy of the game e mailed to my house and this one works fust fine. my guess is that when they condenced the game onto one disk that someone somewhere screwed up pretty bad and they know it. it is NOT on the list of games when you send them the E mail but it IS on the list of supported titles. just pick any game and in the header write something like THIS IS NOT CONCERING (whatever game you selected). I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH STAR WARS EMPIRE AT WAR GOLD PACK. and like i said, customer service was great. game is pretty sweet too. kthnxbai.

Installed game , go to play and error message pops up reading: Wrong Disk Inserted Please insert the original Gold Pack CD/DVD

Did the game come with more than once disc? You may have tried inserting the wrong disc.  If that isn't the case, you may need to download a crack for the game.
Go to this link:http://m0004.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_sw_empire_at_war.shtml
And download the file that says "Empire at War: Forces of Corruption [MULTI] No-CD/Fixed Image"
Replace the .exe file in your game directory (normally C://Program Files/"game") with the one that the crack included.
Hopefully your game will run now!
