Idt systray issue. Computer doesn't shutdown because IDT Systray is running. Have to manually close it.

Doesn't show up in task manager as a process. Running XP sp3. Suspect this also interferes with going into sleep mode. Will not shutdown hard drive for sleep mode.

Download Advanced Uninstaller Pro. It is a free download and it will uninstall IDT and any left over files and then removes left over registry files so it is completely uninstalled.

SOURCE: SP3 screws up zero volume knob range?!

Fixing the wrong problem perhaps? May I suggest that installing SP3 to fix an unstable SP2 XP install is just wrong, masking the problem,
- not fixing it. Buy a new Hard Drive - install a clean Win XP and I bet all of your Edirol problems ( and others ) will vanish. Don't touch your old drive, But once you are happy with the build install it as a slave data drive.

Facebook problem:Sorry, we are experiencing temporary technical problem, please check back later.

It would appear that you have been infected by a worm like Koobface. What you will want to do is open the task manager (ctrl+alt+del) and select the Processes tab. Scroll through the process list looking for freddy79 fbtre6.exe ,mstre6.exe, ld08.exe and Ld12.exe right clicking each and selecting end process.

The next step is to edit the registry. I have included the following links with specific instructions on how to use the registry editor,

Win 7 instructions http://support.microsoft.com/kb/136393
Win XP instructions http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310516

You will want to find and delete the following registry values,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run\"systray" = "c:\windows\mstre6.exe"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run\"systray" = "C:\Windows\fbtre6.exe"
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\Explorer\Navigating

The final step is then to delete freddy79 fbtre6.exe, fmark2.dat, ld08.exe and Ld12.exe using the search option in the Start Menu. Just to be safe, I would then suggest running an online virus scan with Kapersky, TrendMicro or McAfee just to make sure. You will then want to change your user name and password for your Facebook account. Make sure your virus protection is upto date and you should be fine. If not, or if you really want to be sure there is no more malicious code on your machine you could do a clean install of the OS, or follow the Windows recovery instructions that were included with/in the user manual.

I hv. pressed and opened the kingston 4gb dell pendrive now m nt able 2 close it.

make sure there is no application using it. sometimes there might be some process using it but not showing up on task bar or systray. you can use task manager to kill those process if you can find them. you can also open the USB device box by double clicking on the USB device icon in systray and then select the top usb device and click on the close button, or try the drive letters in that box if the first approach does not work. or you can try open device manager and remove the USB devices from there if necessary.

Yahoo messenger standalone won't install

Is this the first time installing it on your computer?

If not, Have you tried deleting cookies, temporary files, and everything in temp folder? Remove any folders or files of Yahoo Messenger and try again.

If this is the first time, or if that didn't work, maybe try shutting off your firewall before you install it.

hope this helps!

IM box will not appear

The system tray (in short: systray, nowadays also called taskbar notification area) is the icon strip normally located near the right end of the task bar, next to the clock.
Some Windows XP installations show a peculiar defect in that some systray icons disappear or, rather, do not appear, when the system is booted and the user logs on. The problem is even more prevalent on systems with autologon. The most frequently affected icons seem to be the speaker icon (sound volume) and the power/energy icon.
This has nothing to do with the hide inactive icons settings. The defect shows up when you don't have any icons set for hiding.
In any case, please make sure for now that you haven't activated that setting. Right-click the task bar, click on Properties, uncheck the last check box. You can reactivate it later if all other problems are identified or solved.
Check your Startup folder and the starter registry entries through Start, Run..., type: msconfig, press Enter, to check whether the programs are really started at system start, or use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to see whether the processes are running.

Are pfaff 1475cd sewing feet compatible with pfaff 1151 machine

Hi. Some Pfaff machines have something called an "IDT" which looks rather like a small, black walking foot behind the pressure foot, to help feed the fabric evenly. Pfaff machines with this IDT need "IDT" pressure feet. (I can't find a listing of which machines have this and which don't, so you'll have to look at your machines or check your manuals.) If both machines have the IDT, then the feet are compatible. If neither has the IDT, then the feet are also compatible.

Hope this helps!

Happy Sewing,

On starting hp pavilion m7680y. I get: AOL error:

Open the Windows Task Manager (in WinXP) by pressing and holding down CTRL-ALT-DEL. In the Applications tab, highlight each program and click the End Task button. Once the Applications tab is empty, close the Windows Task Manager. Then, launch AOL again. (If you’re using an earlier OS, such as Windows 98, press CTRL-ALT-DEL to open the Close Program window, and close every program except Explorer and Systray.)
