I got an HDMI cable with HP pavilion Desktop Computer. But there is no port for it on CPU. Can anyone tell me how can I connect the HDMI cable from monitor to CPU ?
Hi there,
You need a purchase a new cable. I assume your HP pavilion is under 5 years old. And you should have a white DVI port in the back for a monitor. If you do have that connector, then all you need is a DVI - HDMI cable, make sure the DVI will be to the computers end and HDMI to the monitor.
for example this cable:

The monitor has integrated speakers. This means that there should be a headphone jack at the front or side of the monitor. You can plug your (amplified!) speakers into this jack, and it will bypass your monitor speakers.

From the looks of the TV manual you have everything right, so it's very odd you're running into this problem.
Have you tried swapping through the sources? I find with one of the TVs we have on display at work that any time I'm having some troubles with it I will change the source from PC to something else, then back to PC.
If that doesn't work then I'd suggest you try reseting the sound settings back to factory default. The instructions are on page 45 of the TV manual. From the TV menu select "Sound", then "Sound Reset", then either "Reset All" or "Reset Sound Mode". I would suggest reseting all.
Last option would be to try using the headphone jack in the side of the TV, though this is a last resort kind of thing since you would have to unplug it every time you wanted to use the cable box.
Hope this helps :)

Make sure the input on the TV is set to hdmi port 2. If it doesn't automatically view on the TV, you have to go into the graphics card adapter settings to set the view to an alternate monitor (your TV). Normally there's also a hotkey command as well (normally one of the F# keys) to switch between displays
