"FE" error code; won't stop filling

Two year old LG Tromm stackable washer. Error code on "FE" and continues to fill. Turned off machine, was able to get it drained and cycled through but next load same "FE" error code. Can you direct me to restart? Thank you, Sheri Tucker Culinary Arts La Quinta High School La Quinta, CA

Hello Sheri Tucker,

The "FE" code is referring to a bad or malfunctioning water valve. The machine continues to fill because the solenoid on the valve inside the machine isn't closing to stop the water. The valve should be inspected and/or replaced if bad. This will require some dis-assembly, if washing machine repair isn't something your comfortable with then a service call is the best bet. If you are going to try and inspect yourself please make sure you unplug the machine before starting any dis-assembly. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

You can switch the 2 left solenoid connections blue and white which is main wash and per wash, and if you only use the hot wash cold rinse selection it will cycle normally. This is just a quick fix so you can wash till you replace the cold water inlet valve.

Dot not use any other cycle but Speedwash with hot wash cold rinse or the valve will stick open again.

My LG TROMM Hot water continually fills even after machine is turned off and unplugged. I have to shut off water supply to stop it.

Unplug the washer removing all electrical power from the machine. Turn the water back on and confirm that water is still entering the machine.

If the condition is true no power to washer and water enters machine it is very likely that the fill solenoid has failed.

this part is not that difficult to replace.

Lg tromm wm0642hw

I'm guessing it has a float switch that shuts the water off when its full, and if it were bad it would not stop filling. Until the float switch tells the valve to close its also is not going to tell the pump to come on.

Good morning, we have a LG Tromm front loader that started giving us some problems last night. It seems as it will not shut off, the water is continually filling in the machine, and it keeps draining. ...

"FE" means (no surprise here) "Overflow error. The water is automatically pumped out because there has been an overflow.

Since this condition clearly demonstrates that the water level sensor is working fine and doing its job, the very likely culprit is the water inlet valve. You may be locky and find that of you take the valve out, there is an ovstruction in it (sometimes a bit of grit gets trapped in the valve holding it open. More likely, the valve is failing and not shutting once it has opened. You may then need to replace it.

WM2277HW LG WASHER FE error code, but water keeps going into washer when power is off, also had to turn off water valve. How can i fix this?

you need to replace the inlet valve fe means fill error the valve is stuck open this is the most common way to flood your house with a appliance usually they get stuck shut and you cant get any water in. then every now & then one can get stuck open & if you put the machine on and go out it will flood the whole house.

LG Font Load Washer flashing error code FE

FE is Fill Error. If door is closed and washer is plugged in, FE means water is too high and water pump will turn on.

This happens most often when a water fill valve will not shut off completely, allowing water to continue to fill washer, sometimes very slowly. If you shut off one valve (where the hose comes from the household plumbing) at a time you may be able to tell which valve is the culprit. The hot is a single coil valve, the cold is a multi coil valve. Both are the part where the hoses connect onto the machine.
To access valves, remove 3 phillips head screws at the back of the washer holding the top cover in place. Slide the top back about two inches and lift it off.
