Came home from vacation - noticed that the power to our house had been off & then turned on. The Mitsubishi TV has a blinking green light & under that light it says Timer. Have tried disconnecting the Tv & then plugging it back in - still has the green light. The Model WS48511 - bought Feb. 2003. Please advise Thank you. Richard

My mitsubishi tv W55613 won't turn on. green light keeps blinking even after resetting

Hit the front of the tv near the blinking light... give it a good rap or two. See if this helps. Helped mine. I had the same problem and the tech who came out to the house told me that it would work and it did! I could hardly believe it but it worked.

After researching online, my TV problem seems pretty common. TV - Mitsubishi 1080 series WS 55511. Green blinking light blinks for 3 seconds, then goes out and TV never turns on, but I hear a slight...

The green light is known as "The blinking green light of death". This refers to the green LED on the front panel of the TV that normally blinks when turned on after a power failure or when unplugged: the green light is supposed to flash for about 1 minute while both microprocessors boot up: If it won't stop blinking it means that they aren't communicating w/each other. Unfortunately, it's common in Mitsubishi & other RP TV's. Getting this fixed by a professional is around $6-700 with labor, parts, etc. It's really not worth it in my opinion. I would go out and buy an LCD or an LED TV.

I have a WD-52725. When I came home tonight I had noticed that the power had went out at the home. The timer light was blinking green. I do have a surge protector. I tried reset and turning the power off...

Thats a common problem caused by weak caps on the DM and Power boards. When the power goes out the caps drain then cannot recharge so the syeady blinking timer light will happen. You can get the V26 Chassis DM / Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the replacement caps and the CD with repair instructions.

Power blinking green light

Power supply section may be the problem, that will be the first place to look, look for caps with leaking/bulging tops, see examples of failed TV and monitors due to bad caps here;

It is giving a two digit error code and repeating it 3 or 4 times. 22=low voltage short detected usually caused by the convergenge amp I.C. .12=normal
