The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size

check the solder around the area of the vertical IC. solder is either cracked or else cold. Cold solder appears as dull. Resolder anything that isnt shiny.

Hitachi has had problems with their light engines. Very expensive. Contact Hitachi as they may give you consideration even if this is out of warranty.

This is what you're going to do, Turn on the Tv and go to the service manual, if the green tint is still there, you have a defective dmd board, but if it's no there, then you have an issue with your video board

if the power button is blicking red then most likely ur lamp needs to be replaced. they dont come cheap but its an easy fix ...try ebay for the part ...and make sure u get the correct seze and watt for that specific tv ....on a side note...if u replace the bulb yourself....wear latex gloves and DO NOT touch the bulb. the oils on your skin will magnify the light and can cause that bulb to explode or pop and then u will be right back at squareone
