Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.
Connect mp3 player to computer, open Windows Media Player, click on the icon of the mp3 player, and then go to the songs or music folder - find the song you want to delete, left-click the song, and hit "delete" on your keyboard
to add or delete songs you simply view it as a hard drive then drag and drop the sings you want on the folder marked sansa. to delete do the same thing in reverse.
Q:
How do I delete songs from the PD-6110?
A :The
songs only can deleted through your PC. If you use
Windows Media Player 10, go to the Sync window and
select the songs that should show up under the 'Music'
folder tree on the right side of the window and select
the songs you want to delete and press the 'delete'
key on your keyboard.
With
Windows Media Player 11, Open the 'MP3 Player' tree on
the left side of the window then select 'Songs' from
the list. Then select the songs you want to delete and
press the 'delete' key on your keyboard.
You
can also open the 'Removable Disk' under
'My Computer' and
delete the songs from there.
EACH TIME YOU HOOK UP TH EIPOD IT REINSTALLS ALL THE EXISTING SONGS ALONG WITH NEW ONES. YOU CANNOT DELETE THEM AFTER YOU INSTALL THEM OR THEY WILL ALL BE DELETED THE NEXT TIME YOU HOOK IT UP.
The sansa has two USB modes. If you load tracks in one mode you have to be in the same mode to see them in explorer and also be able to delete them. Took me ages to figure this out. From the main menu, go to Settings then select USB and toggle between "MSC" and "Auto Detect". You should then be able to see the hidden tracks. I have firmware 2.2.5A installed so you might want to check that too.
I now only use the Sansa in MSC mode as it seems to crash Winamp if I use it in Autodetect.
