My laptop is saying that the IP address isn't there, but I've checked the router settings and it says it is there.
It's done this before and there was a simple solution, but I don't remember it.
I've tried the cmd thing already but nothing happened, and restarting everything.
My internet security expired recently so could that be it.?
Also I'm very near the router and I'm the only who is hooking up to it.
You must reset the Belkin router.
You've not given enough information to receive a straightforward
answer. I assume your problem is that you can't connect to your Belkin
router, and that you are trying to connect wirelessly? When you do a
site survey (that is, when you click your little antenna icon to 'View
Wireless Networks' in the area), do you see anything?
A common problem with wireless on laptops is that the user will
accidentally turn it off without realizing. There's usually a switch on
the side of the laptop that'll turn on or off your onboard wireless (to
save on battery power). Switching that will often resolve the issue.
