When you put the level on my duet washer it shows that it is level, but when it spins the washer actually moves. It makes a lot of noice and moves. It didn't do this until we put it on a pedestal.
I have had the same problem with my fridgidare washer when I placed it on a pedestal. I think raising the center of gravity on the unit caused the problem. I had a lot of vibration and walking. I found at Lowes a shake-away pads. 4 small pads one for each foot. The washer still vibrates but it doesn't shake the floor and walls any more and it doesn't walk across the floor anymore.
Double check the screws holding the washer to the pedestal to make sure they are tight and make sure all the jam nuts on the leveling legs are tight. Loose jam nuts are the most common cause of this. If they are tight, loosen the right front leg and screw it up until the weight is off the floor. Then run it back down until it contacts the floor. Put the washer in high spin and tighten it down to the floor until you get the spot where there is the least vibration. Tighten jam nut, and check it again in spin with a load of clothes. Post back and let me know how this works.
Just wanted to follow up on your washer and see what you found out. Also, if you laid machine on it's back to install pedestal, you may need to remove front access panel to make sure shocks didn't come out of place. Thanks/Mike
Take the panel off the front and you will see the 4 shocks that fasten between the tub and cabinet. You will be able to tell if they have come apart when you look at them. Also remove the top of the washer and check the 2 springs that hold the tub up and make sure they are still connected. The top has 3 screws at the rear of the washer that hold it on. Remove them, slide the top back about an inch then lift up.

Thanks, Mike,
We will try to find the shocks and check them, because it is still moving around and it didn't move at all until we put it on the pedestal. Any special instructions on checking the shocks? Your help is truly appreciated!
Thank you so much for your help. We checked everything and all looked ok. My husband put the washer on a thin rubber mat and at least it is not "walking" anymore. It still make quite a lot of noise, but doesn't move. Again, thank so much for your suggestions.
