SOURCE: Camper fridge dont cool

I also had the same Model Make. I removed my fridge and placed it upside down, occasionally shaking fridge within a 24 hr period. This seemed to re-mix the ammonia solution and the fridge is working.
This may work for you but look for yellow stains if you see any your fridge is leaking and would require repair.

SOURCE: I have a Dometic RV fridge that wont get cold. it

It sounds like your cooling unit is going out. Here's a couple of things to check. Do you smell any ammonia when you open either one of the doors? When you look at the rear of the fridge, do you see anything that looks like rusty water that has run down any of the metal tubes and dried up? If the answer to either one of these is "yes", then youll need to start looking for a new fridge or replace the cooling unit on the one that you have.

Dometic RM 4224 won't cool on gas or electric. The stack in the back gets super hot, the fridge is not cool at all.

First ensure that the fridge is level. If the fridge is level and still not cooling while there is heat on the rear of the fridge, then you will require a replacement cooling unit. Give Arcticold a call 1-888-782-6665 Web site: ArctiCold Refrigeration We keep it cold

My dometic fridge, (3 Way) for the past couple years takes quite a while to reach it's normal operating temp. I'm talking anywhere from 10 to 15 hours. Once it reaches it normal temp it stays cold until we...

Have you tried running it without the fan? I know it sounds funny but it has to get hot (outside the fridge) to get cold inside. Shut fan off and see what happens. Also, keep in mind the more items you put in it that are already cold, or frozen, the faster it will cool inside the fridge. Also take a look up the back of the fridge, with outside cover off to make sure no big wasp nests or similar up there. May need to remove cover at roof and look down if you can't see too good from back of fridge vent.

Dometic RM7291L not effectively cooling on 240V but fine on gas

On the back of the unit, at the bottom, there should be a panel that is removable. Inside should be a fan, the condenser coil, and the compressor. The fan has to be constantly blowing air over the condenser coil, to dissipate the heat (which it is essentially being removed from the refrigerator by the compressor)

When the entire fridge stops cooling, one of three things have happened. The fan isn't removing the heat from the coil, or the compressor isn't compressing the freon, or the freon has somehow leaked out of the system. If it is the fan, you have an easy do it yourself repair. If it is the compressor or the freon, you will probably (but not necessarily) need a professional.

Inside the fridge, there is a coil that is cold instead of hot. A fan must continually blow over that one too, to circulate the air over the cold coils. The fan usually only works when the doors are closed, so be sure to have the door switch pressed to "shut" when checking it.

Check those and post back. And, I know... it really is Dometic.

My dometic rm4213s model fridge in my vw camper van wont get coold. the heat exchanger at the rear gets hot but not all the way across.

If the freezer is getting cold check for air flow in the back it needs to be free of any obstructions. Next adjust the sensor on fins inside the fridge it works as your temp control move it up and down for control.
