How to set clock on GE range

My GE Range model # is GRML3500ZWW-3 and we cannot find this anywhere online, it is used and we just got it today, we are unable to figure out how to set the clock...please help

  • Anonymous Feb 29, 2016

My GE Range does not have a Clock Button. I have to press "9 + 0" for 3 secs to bring up the Clock to change the time. After putting in the correct time, I have to press "Start".

I have a GE range and I've been trying to set the clock too, but nothing seems to work. It has 3 buttons (a timer button, one with a picture of a pot with steam, and one with a picture of a pot), as well as a knob. When I press any of the buttons it goes to a timer, no matter how long I hold it down. The timers are of various types, how many minutes, what time relative to the current time, etc, but nothing I do seems to be able to affect the clock. I'm a professional programmer, but I'm stumped when it comes to setting this clock! Any ideas?

I think I have a diff model than yours but I was attempting complete what I thought was a easy task. Press the clock button an pres the plus or minus arrows to set the time. So I pressed clock and pressed the arrows keys well that only changes the minutes, ok, so solution would be to press the clock again to go to the hour number. Wrong pressing again turns the clock off. This is so stupid. Tried couple othe things then decide to google. Nothing. So I said let's press theminute up button to 60 to see what happens. I presed to 50 and the hour changed. Ok. Good not feeling so stupid anymore. I held the key down until I reached the desired hour and then selected the minutes. Model 183d8077g143

After messing around I found that holding the clock button and using the arrows at the same time worked for me

Ge profile gas range, no clock pad...how do i set clock. It says hold 3 seconds. What do i hold?

You didn't give a model number, but try the following:

For an electronic clock:
Touch the Clock pad. Touch the number pad. Touch the start pad until the time of day shows in the display. (Taken from the GE website)

During a day of heavy cooking my electonics have gone crazy... at the drop of a hat "she" will decide to ask for an oven cleaning...and will start to beep and flash f7. suggestions?

Hi katheyquilts,

F7 on most all GE ranges indicates either a stuck keypad function or a faulty clock. The only thing you can do as a do-it-yourselfer is this, push the clear/cancel or off button (depending on what model you have it will be labeled one of those)

If that doesn`t remedy the F7, you`d be best served calling in a pro appliance technician. Unless you feel capable of pulling off the panel at the rear of the range and locating the "ribbon connector" which connect`s the touch pad to the timer/clock, carefully, unplugging that connector and then re-connecting it. If you attempt this, **Shut off the 40amp breaker to the range first**

This remedy is a generalization and your range may not even have a type of "erc" (clock) which uses a ribbon connector from the touch pad to the timer. If you could provide a model number I could perhap`s be more specific if I`m able to locate your model number in a data-base.

Hope that help`s move you forward or solve the problem. I`ll look for your reply regarding a model number...unless the other suggestion`s work of course. ;)

Thank you for visiting "fixya" today and good luck.

GE oven clock losing time.

I think I got this.... my oven clock does run slow for months then perfect for months, then slow again. I believe a repair would be a waste of money since there is nothing wrong with the clock. The problem is with the supplier of electricity. The oven uses 220 so may be related to the coverting 220 to 110 v. The clock is counting cycles in the electricity supplied to your home and that varies all the time.
