Go to start and control panel, choose option for Printers and under that you will see the Printer listed. You just have to make a right click on the Printer and choose option "USE PRINTER ONLINE"

SOURCE: blinking lights, ''offline'' status - hp deskjet d2360

If it used to work, then try unplugging and reconnecting the AC power cable for USB scanners. No guarantees at all, but it may work. Unplugging and reconnecting the Firewire cable in XP also sometimes works. Give it a few seconds to be detected.

My HP Deskjet D2360 keeps going offline. What

First try reinstalling drivers for your printer from original CD, if that doesn't help update your drivers from the Internet.

If none of it helps, try connecting your printer to another computer and see if it will behave the same. If it does, then printer is ready for retirement.

Unplug printer and try cleaning the contact pins of the cartridge holder/carriage with a moist clothe or tissue. Check also the flex cable if it has been worn or eaten by a rodent. Check also the cartridge number specification, maybe you have replaced a wrong cartridge.

Printer blinking

Blinking lights on the printer normally indicate a hardware fault.
