Ice maker flooded top freezer compartment

I got your email. I believe at the point you need to unplug the refrigerator and take the ice maker out so you can examine the tray up close. For water to run out of the tray means there is a crack in the ice maker. Now with the humming noise, where is the area that it's coming from?

Your ice maker has a thermostat inside and feels the temperature coming from the ice maker tray. When it senses freezing temps. it begins a cycle and the heating element under the ice maker warms up just enough to make it easier for the ice to be ejected from the ice maker. As it finishes its cycle it tells the water control valve to open and fill the tray. Now if that is cracked or leaking that explains the mess inside with the frozen water everywhere. Let me know what you find when you remove the ice maker. Make sure to unplug the refrigerator while working on it. The water in the freezer area can come from 2 places. Yours seems to come from the ice maker area. When this began the water was all over the place and the ice bucket had frozen water. So if the water did not go into the ice maker then the water came from a cracked fill tube that enters the back of the freezer and crosses over into and over the trough that the ice maker has to catch the water. Now if that tube is cracked and or broken the water will go any place. It does sound like for now the ice maker is trying to refill normally. So I can only recommend for now that you remove the ice maker and examine the fill tube closely. If frozen, use a hair dryer to melt the water inside the tube. For some reason your model does not show that it came with the ice maker. I also cannot find a replacement fill tube. I would carefully examine that tube. It will be hard to replace. The only other area that the water could come from is if the defrost drain is blocked behind the back wall of the freezer. I don't think it is that problem. Without taking the ice maker out, I find it hard to look the tube over very well. If needed remove the screws on the back of the refrigerator and take it out to examine. Examine the area where the tube goes into ice maker for cracks or defects. If that stops the leak I think your ice maker may work normally. As for the noise, it may be something that you noticed because you are paying attention to what is going on more now. It also could be the area below the refrigerator needs cleaned out and have a look at the condenser fan while running. Check to see if its vibrating or if the base of the refrigerator is not setting properly on floor or pushed against something like the wall. Sometimes refrigerators do strange things and make strange sounds. Until we get the leak fixed I cannot say you need another ice maker or water control valve.
