If your account is not banned or deactivated by yahoo, try this site to enter into your yahoomail and change the password. If still not possible to get in and you have forgot the security question then the other option is to contact yahoo customer support here
(although its a waste of time contacting yahoo customer service) you can give it a try.

If any of these doesn't seems to work then the only remaining option is to sign up for a new yahoo mail account.

I would try on a different computer for starters, but have you tried clicking on the "forgot password"? Usually the customer service people at yahoo will be able to help you access your emails. Good luck!

I guess, you account isn't locked yet, but you've forgotten the login password. I am sorry if I am wrong. Well, you can still recover or reset your password. Your security question is "What town was your father born in?", hopefully you can still remember the answer. Open Yahoo!Mail, click "I can't access my account" (at the bottom of the login box). Now, on the password recovery page, select "My Password Doesn't Work" and click "Next", enter your Yahoo ID and the security code in the respective boxes, click "Next", again on the next page, select "I can't access any of the above" but if you still remember the alternate email, enter it. If I am not wrong, your alternate email is a hotmail.com email address... click "Next" and you'll be given options to reset your password. If you do this very carefully, you'll definitely get your account back. I hope you haven't tried multiple times to login which would automatically rejects login attempts within specific period.

We cannot help as we have no connection to Yahoo. I find it strage that after a few years you have now forgotten your password.

The only way to get rid of this window is to fill out the information that yahoo wants you to fill out. I agree with you on not giving out information, but yahoo defense they need that so if you do forget your password they can indentify by your security questions.
