Want to stack my Kenmore HE4 Dryer on top of my Kenmore HE3t W/M

Sounds like the belt is bad or the motor needs to be replaced. Unplug unit. When you open it up get a block of wood (a piece of 2x4 works) if your units are stacked on top of each other, pull the dryer towards you approx 2inches. You are going to push on the top of the dryer and insert the board underneath the dryer. The reason you pulled the dryer forward was to keep the dryer from slipping backwards while working on it. Now check the two bottom corners on the front of they dryer.occasionally there are screws holding the kick plate. Take these off, pull out and down and look for broken belts. Be sure to vacuum any loose lint while you have the unit open. Good luck.

its likley to be one of your heaters has burned out, it has two one for low heat one for high heat on low only one works,,, both work for high heat

The ignitor may be bad or the thermal fuse may be failed.

first of all. comming from a Sears Technician.. (don't yell) -- the delivery drivers only know about delivering stuff. they dont know too much,
if the two are the same size they can be stacked.

and yes, for that model the top is removed, clips go on the rear and screwed at the front.
in some areas it is sold seperatly as a stacking kit

I assume you used the kit for stacking and removing the top of the washer and installing the plates?



You might need some sticky rubber pads to stop metal to metal contact and some duct tape around the vent exiting the dryer where it meets its back panel. This is common, you could go specific or browse ace hardware and find a compatible source.

remove bottom panel ..try to remove as much water as possible wet/dry vac will help//remove the clean out port on front of pump housing ..have towels handy..clean out as good as possible also be sure to ck around impeller in pump mouth.. reverse and ck operation

Usually when the thermistor is repaired the high limit is replaced, I dont recall the E 2 except a manual is under the console
