HP PSC 1350v Check Print Cartridge Light

Adam, you are right about the watch battery. HP has one in the left front area. If you can get into your machine and find it, you can remove it for an hour or so (as some who have done this have recommended, especially if the date setback does not work or you do not want to fool with the date). I have also been told that the machine remembers the last 3 or so cartridges in some cases, so some have gone to rotating 3 that they refilled. You have to buy only the color or the black cartridge that the machine indicates as the problem, not necessarily both. I know I did not really like having to buy another HP cartridge when the original one I refilled and the office depot remanufactured one did not work--I did not know then if it was the cartridges or the printer that was the problem. If the printer works without a problem when you put the brand new "in-date" cartridge in, then you know it was most likely balking at the date.

You can refill your old cartridge yourself and save it for next time if you have a refill clamp to set it in. Or take it to the store and exchange for a remanufactured one or let them refill it.

That office depot one I am using now sat for nearly a year until the new cartridge ran out of ink. I did not throw it away because I did not think there was anything wrong with it. I saved it in its clamp in a plastic bag. I steamed it over (NOT IN) a 1/4 cup of water heated in the microwave until I saw ink flow from the jets. Then I put it in and went through the process I described above.
