SOURCE: Neff HTHB86K Microwave oven.

The microwave unit is faulty as you can read from the display or the controller isn't working correctly, you should take your MW oven to an authorized service center. It can be repaired by yourself but it's highly dangerous because it has high voltage inside and microwave energy.

Sounds like the Magnetron may have collapsed. Probably not worth repairing. Check for burnt/browned components on circuit board/s. Burnt wires, insect or ant damage or soiling. Magnetron is the large-ish square metal object with lots of heat-sink fins on it. Check for discolouration. If nothing obvious, it's probably stuffed, If something is obvious, it's still stuffed, but it may be repairable.:::Spiceweasel.au

SOURCE: microwave starts as normal but cuts out after

This is happening due to either the magnetron, or the Power Diode, or both, is breaking down, under load, then the unit detects the fault condition, & then, for safety reasons, to avoid a fire or explosion, shuts down the system. You need to take it in to be looked at please obtain a "Quote" before proceeding with any work. This way you can decide to repair or replace.

Hi i have a neff microwave h5642nogb/02 when i switch it on to heat up food it cuts out after about 10 seconds can you please help

The magnetron is probably not working and the main board senses that.
Call an authorised repairer to fix it for you. There are no user serviceable parts in that section of the machine.

Oven accidentally operated without any contents and cut out with a smell of burning. Subsequently the oven only runs for approximately 22 seconds before stopping. Any ideas?

It will require a new magnetron and possibly power supply for it. The magnetron will destroy itself if it has nowhere for the energy to go.

Neff h5642 doesn't start at all. No lights, no display. What should I check first?

safety fuse (internal) will have blown usually caused by faulty inverter short circuit if fuse changed and blows again this is what it will be costly repair if out of guarantee.

Microwave starts as normanl but cuts out after 5 seconds on all settings?

sounds as either inverter or magnetron is faulty difficult to diagnose although when mag fault usually runs for about 22 secs inverter fails sooner around 5 secs.

I'm sure your motor has failed.

Sometimes it a broken post inside the motor, if you like to tinker.

Otherwise I would contact Neff's service people for a spare.

Your question is unclear, but you should probably have more door overlap on the front face than 4mm top and bottom. This will be ok if the door fits into a flush frame when closed.:::Spiceweasel.au
