Maytog gas oven model 5765QDB--oven will not heat up

We have a Maytag Gas Range, Precision Touch Control 500. The oven quit heating up. When we turn it on by hitting bake and touch the temp up to 400 degrees it always stays at 100 degrees and never heats up. Everything else is working fine, the top burners work fine, the broiler works fine but still the oven does not heat up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Maytag precision touch control 500 electric smoothtop

The heating coils in the oven need to be inspected very carefully where they plug in to the oven wall. You will need to remove the back covers and check the insulators and wiring harnesses. Over time the insulation can break down and oxidize the metal connections. You can use a voltmeter or test light to verify that the coils are getting voltage from the thermostat/switch. replacing parts is cheaper than buying new if you can find the parts.

Maytag gas oven has an F1 code. Model # CGR3740ADW.

The F1 code on a Maytag electric stove means the electronic range control, clock or touch pad is defective. You or a technician can do a test to determine which item is broken, but you must replace the electronic clock range in models where the touch pad and range control are one part.

I have a Maytag model #MGR5754QDW gas oven. The oven isn't getting hot. I think it is also called a Precision Touch Control 500. The top works fine, just the oven will not heat up at all.

Hi, the likely cause to the problem is the igniter. Pull the floor of the oven out and then the flame spreader. Now set the oven for 350, if the igniter does not glow unplug the range and test the igniter with an ohms meter. If as i suspect it shows open you should replace it. If the igniter is glowing when set for 350 it may still be bad. An igniter should glow bright yellow to the point you can't look at it. If it glows an uneven yellow/orange it's bad and you should replace it. Mike

make sure the wire is connected to the ignition(where it sparks)if it is gently clean the sparking surface with a piece of fine sandpaper.Hope this helps,if it still does'nt work you may need to replace this part but it should'nt be expensive and you can do it yourself(usually one screw) ps sorry for the late reply.
