My sony trinitron tv is off the normal chanel 3 an I cant get it back on there. I have AT&T CABLE my son touch the tv an switch the chanel. My problem is I dont have the orginal remote. An I have purchased 4 universal remotes no can change the chanel

Most sets it is impossible and will skip channel 3 and input. You will need to buy a cheap universal remote.

if you dont see the chanel 3,find the it from the menu or settings then you must rechanel it for manual rechanel then add it on

Do a hard reset to this set and check first. To make it hard reset, unplug the set from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so.If this do not help you, check and replace its main system memory IC.

Go into the setting menu on the tv and go to channel setup,then select add channel.

Get the original Sony remote. Select TV or the Video input you want to use. Then press the Display button to make the text dissapear.

It is cable company related display because if it would Tv related, will stay all time at screen.

Go to the menu and select channel set up
select cable
select scan
This will usually solve it
Otherwise it may be the tuner , CPU or a cold solder joint or open trace on the clock sig.

I have a 36 Trinitron, the sound and picture went but the red light just keeps blinking, any ideas? Please ....

the great thing about sony is you dont need the remote to do menu functions. there is a flip down panel in the front that has the menu, cursers, and select buttons. just select the tab you need in the menu (channels) select the type of input (cable :on/off) then auto program. be sure to have the VCR off so not to program the channel 3 only.

YOU CAN EITHER SWITCH YOUR CABLES ARE CALL UR CABLE PROVIDER AND IF U HAVE SATTELITE THAN IT COULD MOST LIKELY BE UR CABLE ON THE REAR OF UR HOUSE WHERE UR BOX IS ARE THE CABLE IN SIDE THE DISH. MAYBE EVEN U DIDNT SWITCH THE LINE BACK TO CABLE TRY SOME OF THESE THINGS THEN U CAN SEND ANOTHER MESSAGE IF IT WORKS ARE NOT LETTING US KNOW WAT HAPPENED THANK U
