We need to replace the drum unit on a Minolta Di3510 and were told that when you replace the drum unit you also need to replace the developer. Where and how is the developer replaced on this unit.

Did you recently replace the drum and the developer if so did you clear the counters for the drum and developer, FIRST. IF not then the copier thinks the new drum and new developer are old. The copier works on the counters that is how it knows it got a new drum and developer. Get new developer and a new drum and have it installed correctly. Counters are clear before the unit is yanked out of the machine, then you remove the image unit/drum unit replace the developer/drum and cleaning blade. (DO NOT USE A VACUUM CLEANER WHEN REPLACING THE DEVELOPER static electricity can destroy the sensor located below the developer unit. Then reinstall and RUN F8. Make sure the fax line and Ethernet cable is removed can't print anything until the F8 is run. Or you will start all over again with new developer and a new drum.

Sir, the toner bottle motor assy. needs to be replaced. will take quite a bit of work to get to, recommended a service tech qualified on Biz hub 350. This series is well known for the toner bottle assy. fault as is the di3510 series prior to the Bizhub 200/300 series.

The drum and developer need to replace at same time and F8 as to be run. And counters reset. Recommend a technician do it will be a time consuming process . Let me known You have to buy a drum and developer and cleaning blade

You need to have the drum and developer replaced along with the cleaning blade or if it was recently done it was incorrect was F8 RUN? Where counter cleared? if not that will cause this code and if a copy or print was run before F8 and counters where cleared then you need a new drum and developer

Because after so many copies it needs to be replaced along with cleaning blade and the developer.

better to send it to a technical shop or ask any representative coming from the distributor of your copier to actual check the problem. Just a thought hope it helps thanks.

Imaging Unit calibration failure. This code means the machine is seeing a toner concentration in the Imaging Unit that is either to high or too low. This problem can only be resolved by a service technician. Salvaging the existing developer mixture is often not possible. The Imaging Unit will need the the developer replaced and calibrated via the service mode.

tha minolta di3510 developer unit looks the same as the unit for the konica minolta bizhub 350 but the toner sensor in the minolta unit uses a different voltage range for the toner sensor and it will throw this code make sure you have the correct unit for this machine also you can try this
go back into tech rep mode and change these settings:
select tech rep choice mode
select printer tab
select atdc sensor gain
set the value to about 165
then back all the way out to the ready screen and power the machine off then back on and replenish toner in the user management screen.
