How do i get my ps3 to run through my lg surround sound

Connect the RCA cables ( red, white, yellow cables) to the necessary jacks o the DVD player and tv..the DVD player should have an "AUX" input amongst the other inputs eg DVD,USB etc..this allows you to play sound from the TV through the DVD HT

It would appear from what you have said that you have everything connected properly. Maybe a silly question, but make sure you select the digital input on your LG to get the sound from the PS3. If there is still no joy, unplug the optical from the back of the LG unit. Look at the end of the Optical cable that should still be connected to the ps3. Is there what looks light a red light there? if so it means that the optical is getting to the LG system and the LG sytem's digital in port is Duff. If there is no "Red Light", unplug it from the PS3 and look directly at the optical out port on the ps3. Is there a Red Light there? if there is, you need a new optical cable. If there is no red light, you need to enable the digial output on the ps3. If you have and it's still not "red". the optical port is duff.

The easiest way will be to connect your PS3 and cable box to the TV by HDMI and then run an optical cable from your TV to the surround sound system.

select rating on lock menu then press play input password when asked if you forgot password use 210499 and press enter enter it again and press enter to verify password you can select rating of lock 1 to 8 . one is the most restricting option.. if you select unlock the dvd has no parental control on.

Assuming your TV has RCA analog audio out, you could run it to the LG's AUX input. Or get it from the cable box (better quality).

dude im sure its ur TV cant be bith 1080i and 1080p not sure that works like that, sorry just stick to what the TV is

The answer would be a yes, as long as the model of your playstation 3 has what's called a DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) CONNECTOR. As far as I know all of the PS3 has this type of connector at the back of the unit near the LAN port and AV port.

The next thing you need to check though is if you surround sound system has a DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) CONNECTOR. If it does, then you're all set. All you need to do is buy the necessary cable to connect the PS3 to your home theater/surround sound system.

Well the problem is that the PS3 only allows output on one channel. So, this is only going to be optical out, or hdmi, or even AV. You only get one option for the output.

Now, if your TV has the capability.. Run the sound through the HDMI to the TV and then let the TV output the digital sound to the surround system. This will give you the option of turning off the surround and re-enabling the TV's stereo speakers.

I hope this gives you an idea of what the problem is. If I were you, I'd just do as I said. This is exactly how I have mine setup. I have a 600w sub on the surround, so late night movies can't be played on it without the neighbors being woke up. So, I simply disable the TV's output and use it's speakers. :)
