The water is leaking once i fill and keep it keep on the humidifier

Here are the steps to fill the water tank of the Air Innovation humidifier model A1-KS30U-06C:

1. Turn off the humidifier and unplug it from the power source.
2. Remove the water tank from the base of the humidifier by lifting it straight up.
3. Flip the water tank over and unscrew the cap from the bottom of the tank in a counterclockwise direction.
4. Fill the tank with clean, cool water. Do not overfill the tank; leave some space at the top to prevent spills.
5. Screw the cap back onto the bottom of the tank in a clockwise direction until it is snug.
6. Turn the water tank right side up and carefully place it back onto the base of the humidifier. Make sure it is seated properly and securely.
7. Plug the humidifier back in and turn it on.

Once the tank is filled with water, the humidifier should operate normally and begin adding moisture to the air. It is recommended to clean the water tank periodically to prevent buildup of mineral deposits and bacteria.

What do I need to do for my humidifier that leaks out the water

Found a hairline crack in the water canister. Had to locate by filling the canister and waiting for a couple of minutes for water droplets to form outside the canister. This ever so slight crack allowed air to enter the chamber and made changes to water dispensing rate which overfilled the resevoir over time ( hours). The cracks were not visible under 10X magnification without the water droplets.

Hello. Humidifier water tanks must be regularly disinfected to remove the presence of bacteria and reduce the risk of mold spores. Carefully remove the screw-on cap, fill with cool water and add a tablespoon of household bleach to the water. Replace the cap and set aside for 20 minutes. Once done, empty the water tank, rinse thoroughly with clear cool water, and wipe the outside with a soft damp cloth and you are good to go. Do this once per week. Regards, Joe

Soak the filters in a solution of 8 oz of white vinegar per gallon of water for about 20 minutes once per week and rinse well.

Better yet, do this once every 2 weeks, and on the off weeks soak the filters in a beach and water solution (rinse well) to keep the mold and bacteria growth from becoming a problem. I also add about a teaspoon of vinegar or a teaspoon of bleach (one or the other, not both at the same time) to the water when I fill the tank.

That helps keep the calcium scale from forming and it keeps the unit itself MUCH cleaner.

There is probably a crack somewhere in the unit. Not likely, but worth visually inspecting closely.

Try filling it with less water and run it and see what happens.

sounds like the filter is not allowing air flow.

On the Vicks v-3100 the water tank should lift off of the unit. Flip it over and there is a lid. Open the lid and fill the tank. Once you've filled it back up, put the lid back on. Flip the tank over to make sure there are no leaks, then put it back on the humidifier.

Note: It's very important to check to make sure the tank isn't leaking before you put it back on the humidifier, if it is, it will flood the reservoir, in turn causing water to leak out of the bottom of the humidifier (which is one of the major complaints about the 3100).
