How to reset my new password (D-link DIR-300)

If the default password on the D-Link has been changed then -
To reset the D-Link back to the default settings - Press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON until the LEDs flash at the time the release the RESET button.

Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open the browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL..

The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter)
You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. (SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access).
Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Hello there,

There is no way to get the forgotten password but to reset it. But by doing this, everything will go into factory defaults.

To do this, you have to check the reset button at the back of the router, Press and hold that button for 10 to 20 seconds. Wait for it power on fully and then access the router page using the default admin and password.

Press the RESET button at the back of the router and power it up. Hold the RESET button for 5 secs. until the LEDs flash at the same time.
Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your computer's LAN port, open a browser and enter the D-Link;s configuration URL.
