The PRO-95 is a pretty good trunking scanner, but it's far from ideal for NASCAR monitoring. You can use it for that purpose, and the best way would be to clear all of the programmed information by initializing the scanner. Instructions for this process are on pace 83 of the factory manual, and the best programming instructions are also in the manual. If you don't already have it, you can download and print the manual, at no cost, here: http://scancat.com/OnLineHelp/OEM_Radio_Owners_Manuals/RadioShack-OlderManuals/Pro-95/pro95.pdf
You can find a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, or at the race track, and a lot of other useful scanning information, by visiting: www.RadioReference.com.
BTW, the best scanners for following the NASCAR action are the Uniden BC72XLT, BC80XLT, and the BC92XLT. All are simple to operate and moderately priced. You can also pick them up used on many web sites, including eBay.
Repeatedly pressing the HOLD key will advance the unit through all channels and bring up anything that you've programmed into it, and repeatedly pressing the SVC key will advance the scanner through the preprogrammed services (police, fire, marine, etc.). For more information you can download/print your scanner's manual here:
